Trip Plans: Tentative Itinerary

Below you will find some information regarding the Jr. ACRY trip to our diocesan mission to the needy of Saint John the Compassionate in Toronto, Ontario
Tuesday, July 7, 2009 Those going with Fr. Miles from Maryland will depart from Windber at 9am. We will stop in the Pittsburgh area to pick up Katherine Stienstra. We will proceed to Camp Nazareth to pick up Amy Oblinsky and Rachel Pribish. (We will stop for lunch along the way following our departure from Camp Nazareth) We will proceed to Toronto, Ontario for an arrival time at the mission between 3pm and 4pm. We should rendezvous with Fr. Peter and his group at the mission. We will have dinner at the mission. The group will be housed at the Lived Theological School.
Wednesday, July 8, 2009 We will be helping out at the Mission. Wednesday is one of the Mission's busiest days of the week. We will experience first hand the depth of caring for the needs of others. (Matthew 25:35-36) There will be a talk at 7pm on how the Church is to be a mission to the needs of others. Compline will be served at 8:30pm
Thursday, July 9, 2009 Trips to the Mission's Bakery and Thrift Shop will be taken by the group. Lunch will likewise be taken at the Mission with the poor who come to the Mission. Fr. Roberto will address the group to talk and answer questions about the mission.
Friday, July 10, 2009 Divine Liturgy or Matins will be celebrated at 7am. Breakfast and departure will follow the service. It is planned that the group will be on the road between 11am and Noon. Individuals will be left off where they were picked up unless other plans are made... We should arrive at the Camp between 2pm and 3pm and back in Windber between 5pm and 6pm. Cell phones can be used to keep families posted on updated arrival times.
Basic needs for the trip: We will need to bring sleeping bags and pillows. (Twin size air mattress may also be brought) The school does have towels for our use.
Meals will be taken at the Mission or at the Lived Theological School.
Passports for all those going are required. Under age youth will need to have the consent forms filled-out and notarized.
